WHAT WE BELIEVE!

 THE SCRIPTURES

We believe the Bible is God-breathed and without error, to which nothing can be added or taken away. It is the only  and perfect order of our faith and manner of living, and is superior to conscience and reason. 2 Peter 1:21, 2 Timothy 3:16-17 , Romans 1:16

THE ONE TRUE GOD

We believe there is only one living and true God, eternal with unlimited power, Creator of all things; and in one God are three distinct persons; the Father, the Son,                        and the Holy Spirit.

JESUS CHRIST

We believe that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is truly God and truly man. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, suffered death on the cross for the sins of man and rose from the dead on the third day. He will soon return to this world and rapture all Christians to be with Him in heaven. After the tribulation, He will rule as King over all the earth for one thousand years of peace, before the establishment of new heavens and a new earth where righteousness dwells.

Man-His Fall and Salvation

We believe man was created good, but fell by willful transgression. Jesus Christ is the only means to salvation for all those who experience "repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ." Each person must be born again by the Spirit of God. This new birth is the only means to enter the Kingdom of God. The inward evidence of the believer's salvation is the direct witness of the Spirit.  (Genesis 1:26-31; 3: 1-7, Romans 5:12 - 21; Joh 3:16, 1 John 5:11; John 3:5; Acts 20:21; John 1:12-13; Romans 8:16

The Church-Her Composition, Ordinances, and Ministry

We believe the church of Jesus Christ is both local and universal, but consists solely of those who through th new birth are in Christ. Matthew 13: 24-30; John 3:3,5

We believe it is the primary mission of the church to proclaim the Gospel of Christ to the world, and that all morally and scripturally correct means should be used to influence people to commit themselves to Christ. 1 Corinthians 15: 3-4; John 3:16; 2 Peter 3:13; 1 Corinthians 9:22; Galatians 1: 6-11; 1 Corinthians 2:2

We believe all who have repented of sin and believe in Christ as Savior should observe the ordinance of Water Baptism. Baptism should be administered in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit by one recognized as a minister. Matthew 28:19; Acts 10:47;   Romans 6:4.

We believe Christians should regularly observe the ordinance of the Lord's Supper as a memorial of His death., a witness to the believer's unity, and a reminder of His soon return. The bread and fruit of the vine are only symbols of th body and blood of our Lord.
